The kindergarten my daughter goes to sends home 'treasure bits' every two weeks. It's a little trinket or something that's to remind them of a book they read in school so they can talk to their parents about it. The parents have to write down what their children say about the book and send it back. My daughter just loves this.
Well, today, the classes had a pajama party in school and they watched
Polar Express. Well she decided that, since she also brought home a little bell, that she had to tell me about the movie while I had to write down what she said. The follow is what I wrote, verbatim:
The little boy was sleepy. He saw a train. He got on the train. He saw a girl. They got to the North Pole. The little boy was all alone by himself. A little boy and girl saw him on the train. The kids got on the machine that makes presents. The machine put the presents in a bag. The bell fell from the reindeer. The little boy picked it up from the ground. Santa came. It was morning. The little boy saw presents. The bell was wrapped in one of the presents.
Now, the reason that I showed you this, was to make the following comment. I have seen fanfiction written by people who are supposedly adults that wasn't as well put together as that. Not that I'm saying that's all that well put together, but she's only 5! Well, about a month away from being 6.
