We're in the market for another moderator!

While kazatomic and I would love nothing better than to devote all our time an energy to this community, we're forced to work and take care of our families. Because of this unfairness, we need some help.

Specifically, we're looking for someone to periodically go through and check to make sure that members who are using layouts from here are crediting the designers. While it's not necessary to credit the community, it is necessary to credit the people who put so much time and effort into the layouts.

We need someone who has the time to go through and look at each member's layout and user info [we have almost 200 members!] and then e-mail them if it becomes necessary. So, what I need for you is a comment here with a basic mock-up of a polite e-mail reminding someone that they need to credit.

That will be your main job. And I'm always here to handle questions, don't forget!

Ask Me My Fandom Opinion

How this works:
1. Ask me one fandom-related question in the comments. This can be fandom specific, general, or about fandom/lj stuff/fic writing/etc. in general. Ask anything...I'm really not bothered.
2. ONE DAMN QUESTION.-- (Go ahead and ask me as many as you like. I'll answer.)
3. That's it. It can be as normal or odd as you like.

Okay, my journal (the_sweet) looks "fine," but all it would take is a few more tweaks to make it "perfect" in my mind. I'm not very big on complicated customizing, but there were a few things I wanted out of my Smooth Sailing layout...

(1) Header image. Got that, using a custom CSS to include it. The only problem is, even though I've specified a margin so the nav strip doesn't interfere and the width and height of the image, the title and subtitle of my journal still cuts off the bottom portion of the header. How can I force the text down so the header image displays fully?

Here's the custom CSS:

(2) Meta alignment. I used this tutorial to try and align my meta text against my mood icons, but either it's not working (despite compiling properly, and being put into use), or something is overriding it. I saw it work for a flash, but then it seemed to stop. Worse, my meta seems to be roaming about inconsistently; sometimes it's at the top of an entry (or at least, the mood and tags are), and other times it's at the bottom (with the text on the left instead of to the right of the mood icon)! Is there a way I can fix this so the meta is ALWAYS at the bottom, and ALWAYS flushed against the mood icon (which would be to the left)? Also, I've noticed that my custom text for "Current Location" (Current Whereabouts) isn't showing up, but the link to the location is. o_o

(3) Speaking of Meta, for whatever strange reason, there's no space between the colon in "Edit Tags" and the first tag. Is there a way I can fix it?

Help! I'm so close to a nice layout, but I can't get these few little things to work!

I really am.  I'm interested in volunteering for the Human Rights Campaign at Pridefest on June 24th and 25th, but they're running the Stoli Vodka tent and I'm not comfortable serving alcohol to people.  I'm not sure what to do.
